Other Resident Initiatives and Services

The Resident Initiatives Department provides supportive services to families and youth receiving housing assistance from the High Point Housing Authority. These services are designed to promote involvement in the community and to provide residents with the resources necessary to become self sufficient. Counseling and referral services are provided in areas such as:

  • Education
  • Job Training
  • Employment Opportunities
  • Child Care
  • Transportation
  • Budgeting
  • Credit Repair
  • Homeownership
  • Career Advancement
  • Business Ownership
  • These are a variety of youth programs to assist students with staying in school and preparing them for life by providing tutoring, mentoring, home visits, SAT/ financial aid preparation, college visits and helping families to access community resources.
