Elderly and Disabled Services
Congregate Housing Services Program (CHSP)
CHSP is a program offered by the High Point Housing Authority for residents at Astor Dowdy and Elm Towers. This program provides qualifying participants with assistance in daily living activities, so they can live independently and have their everyday needs met.
CHSP provides the following services to participants for a small fee:
Housekeeping Assistance
Transportation Services (to doctor appointments, grocery store, errands, outings, etc.)
Meal Program
Other services provided at no charge to participants:
Case Management
Medication Assistance
Assistance with personal care
Residents Opportunities and Self-Sufficiency (ROSS)
For Elderly and Disabled
ROSS is a program offered by the High Point Housing Authority for elderly and disabled residents lining in public housing communities. This program provides qualifying participants with assistance in daily activities, so they can live independently and have their every day needs met.
ROSS provides the following supportive services at no charge to participants:
Linking residents with community resources
Assisting residents with Social Service assessments and qualifying procedures
Housekeeping Assistance
Transportation Services (to doctor appointments, grocery store, errands, outings, etc.)
Case Management
Assistance with personal care
