Development/HOPE VI
The HOPE VI Community and Supportive Services (CSS) staff actively enrolls former residents in GED classes, college entrance courses, job training and skills, homeownership training, entrepreneurship training, small business training, family counseling programs and the Housing Authority Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program. The transportation program provided residents an opportunity to enroll in educational programs, job training programs, attend job interviews, provide daycare for their children and attend counseling programs.
The recently developed Spring Brook Meadows Phase II Senior Villas project received an award from the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials for excellence in Housing and Community Development.
In addition, The Hope VI department is actively seeking funds for new development projects.
